The heart behind The Pink Mystic Muse
My Story
I was thirteen the first time I realized I was different.
While other kids my age worried about ordinary things, I was holding a deck of tarot cards that seemed to speak — and hearing something that wasn't quite a voice. Spirit, gently making itself known to me. I could feel the presences around me, and I could talk with them. At first it startled me. In time, it became the truest part of who I am.
I've come to call them my team — the guardians, guides, and loving presences who have walked beside me my whole life. They never promised me a life without pain. They didn't stop the hard things from coming. But in my very worst moments — the ones that should have broken me — there was always a calm inside me that I can't explain any other way except this: Spirit was holding me. Somehow, even in the dark, I knew I was going to be okay.
That knowing has carried me through more than most people realize. I have survived abuse. I have survived life-threatening situations and serious illness. There were times when everyone around me was ready to throw in the towel and count me out — and I understood why. But I was still here come morning. I have always trusted the universe, always believed that something greater than myself was watching over me, steadying my hand even in the decisions that frightened me most.
And I didn't just survive for the sake of surviving. I turned it into purpose. For years I worked as a counselor for people battling addiction and mental illness — sitting with them in their darkest hours, believing in them when they couldn't believe in themselves. My own hard roads became my greatest gift: I don't guide from a book. I guide from a life fully lived.
I believe I am here for a reason. And I believe that reason is you.
My purpose is to touch as many souls as I can — to share the love, the light, and the hard-won wisdom I carry, and to help light your path so you can feel a little more steady on your feet. I believe in healing hugs. In warm, honest conversation — sometimes direct, sometimes unfiltered, but always coming from a heart that is fiercely, unconditionally in your corner.
More than anything, I want this to feel like home.
I want The Pink Mystic Muse to be a place where you can settle in, read a little, leave a comment, and simply breathe. Somewhere to sip your morning coffee while you gather your spirit for the day ahead — or to unwind at the end of a long, heavy one, wrapped in words of encouragement and gentle release.
You found your way here for a reason, too. And whatever you're carrying, you don't have to carry it alone.
With all my love,
Mackenzie — “Miss Mac”
